Snellsmoor Grange, Bellway
Derby City
Greenfield
Residential
Challenges
The site straddles three electoral wards and is of such a size that it contained a plethora of infrastructure work including a new school. At 800 new homes, this is a significant urban extension to Derby and residents, politicians and planners were all very cautious and many had concerns.

Three different newsletters tailored to different neighbouring areas of the large site to address specific concerns
An informative interactive website to explain the proposal and highlight the numerous benefits

Extensive political engagement
Outcome
After extensive political engagement across the spectrum, we built a strong working relationship with Derby City Council and successfully convinced the leadership of the schemes merits, earning it the planning permission that it deserved.
Brook Avenue, J-Group
Brownfield
Brent, London
Residential
Challenges
The area surrounding the site has been subject to vast change over recent years, and local residents are becoming hostile to development as a result of the perceived strain on local services. High on our list of priorities was to highlight the benefits of the type of scheme (co-living), and the improvements that it will bring the local area

Challenges
The LPA had expressed that, given the number of applications and new developments in their build phase in the local area, that this was not an appropriate site for development. We set about working with the schools, hosting a competition aimed at creating a truly community-first development. Part of the development (owing the Blackburn’s heritage as a market town) was a large farmers market, so this was what we based our competition upon.
